Thai Ridgeback Dog breeders can be categorized into 2 main groups:
Group 1. Emphasize on "outer" characteristics, such as dark color, black muzzle, black tounge, jet-black nails, big skull, and big body. Mostly called "Primitive Dog".
Group 2. Emphasize on "inner" characteristics, such as mentality, spirits, body structure (dog anatomy), and movements. Mostly called "Show Dog".
Both two groups always have controversies on their thinking and practicing. However, our community of eastern Thai Ridgeback Dog breeders is trying to combine the advantages from both groups into the same dog.
Community of Eastern Thai Ridgeback Dog Breeders includes the breeders from 3 eastern provinces: Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trad.
Our Purposes
- To create unity amoung breeders.
- To preserve and improve Thai Ridgeback Dog to meet the standard like other dogs.
- To maintain Thai responsibility of protecting Thai heritage to stay with Thailand and the world ferever.
- To create a information center for Thai Ridgeback Dog breeders all around the world.
- To give information to members of choosing a dog and its appropriate price.
- To initiate a measurement of dog improvement. This includes periodically hold beauty competitions, and skill competitions.
